Maggie Grace (born Margaret Grace Denig November 21, 1983) is an American actress who is best known for her roles in the roles of Shannon Rutherford on the ABC TV series Lost and Kim Mills in the Taken trilogy. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school, and relocating to Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. The actress landed her first part in the film, Rachel's Room's main character in 2001, despite having a difficult time financially. She went on to earn a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television film Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace appeared as Shannon Rutherford on the Lost television series in 2004. The show featured her as the principal character for two seasons and won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace left the television series in the year 2005, to take on an even more prominent role in film, appearing in the film Taken alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She's a Gyllenhaal, the daughters of Stephen Gyllenhaal (director) and Naomi Achs (producer), she is a bit older than Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career as a teenager with small appearances in his films. She also appeared together with her brother in cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). The year 2002 saw her was featured as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. She also appeared in Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal received nominations for an Golden Globe Award in both the drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. The Dark Knight, which was released in 2008, following several highly successful films including World Trade Center (2006) and World Trade Center (2006), earned Gyllenhaal more fame. She received a nomination as the Best Supporting Actress at the Academy Awards for her portrayal of a single mother as she appeared in Crazy Heart. After that she was able to appear in comedy films along with dramas, such as Nanny McPhee and The Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011), and The Won't Back Down (12). The other roles she's played includes Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller) as well as actors in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018) in addition to the role of the Kindergarten Teacher. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as director, screenwriter and script writer, when she wrote and directed The Lost Daughter, a psychological drama. The Lost Daughter.
